James T. Welden

President of Welden Financial

James T. Welden is the President of Welden Financial and oversees its investment management. A natural leader and problem solver, he has his eye on the big picture and guides Welden Financial in planning for his clients’ financial future. James makes it a priority to know his clients, their needs and goals.

James is a graduate of LaGrange College and is married to Kelley Christopher Welden. He is the proud father of Wyatt, Sanders, and Addy. James is a fifth generation Coweta County resident who is very active in his community and serves on numerous boards and committees.

James currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees as well as Finance Committee and Church Council for his Church, Newnan First United Methodist. As well as Assistant Boy Scout Leader for Newnan’s Troup 41. James is also a proud supporter of the Donald W. Nixon Centre for Performing and Visual Arts.

His previous community involvement includes: Rotary of Coweta County member, Past Chairman and member of the Board of Directors for The Coweta Community Foundation, board member of the Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club, County of Newnan Board of Zoning and Appeals, Newnan Pines Homeowner’s Association, Mission Committee for Newnan’s First United Methodist Church, past member of the Administrative Board of Newnan’s First United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, and past Chairman of the community’s 4th of July Fireworks.

He takes great pride in serving Coweta County and will continue to do so, leading his clients in the direction of great decisions and choices. Ensuring every generation continues to grow and succeed.

Gary T. Welden

Financial Advisor

Gary, the proud father of James, is a financial consultant who believes in the client experience and will do everything he can to make you comfortable at Welden Financial. Gary makes it his business to know our clients’ expectations. He is upfront and honest, providing the experienced guidance you need to make wise choices about your money and investments.

Gary and his wife, Brenda Holland Welden, have been married since 1970. They are active in the local Methodist church and enjoy being grandparents of their five grandchildren.

Gary believes in giving back to the community. Combining a career with community service, he currently serves on the church council, is the Chairman of the Henry Kitchens Scholarship Fund Committee, serves on the board of the Newnan-Coweta Youth Association, and the Board of Equalization which hears appeals of valuations of the Board of Assessors on the fair value of property in Coweta County. Gary was nominated for Citizen of the Year in 2015 and 2020.

Previous community involvement includes serving as President of the Newnan Kiwanis Club, Chairman of the Kiwanis Coweta Fair, Advisory Board of Wesley Woods, Chairman of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Lake Redwine Homeowners Association, Chairman of the Board of the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society, and was a founding member and Chairman of Habitat for Humanity for South Fulton, In the past, Gary has served in numerous public offices and positions including: Chairman of Newnan’s Georgia Initiative for Community Housing, member of the Board of Education of Clayton County, and as Magistrate for Clayton County.

Savannah Griner

Director of Client Relations

Savannah is the Director of Client Relations and the first person you encounter at Welden Financial. She has a love for meeting new people and making everyone feel welcome. Her main responsibility that she takes great pride in is meeting clients/guests’ expectations, which makes her a great asset to the Welden Team. Savannah was raised in Newnan, Ga and is married to her husband Parker Griner and a proud mom to their handsome son, Camden. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and traveling.
